Over 60,000 Vote-By-Mail Ballot Requests To Be Fulfilled

Pasco County FL - Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley announced that vote-by-mail ballots are now available upon request by calling the elections' office, 800-851-8754, by submitting the request in writing, or by using the on-line request form at pascovotes.com.  Tuesday, October 4, 2016, the office will mail over 60,000 ballots to voters with requests already on file.

"We have been actively promoting voting by mail in an effort to provide voters with options in advance of an expected heavy turnout," said Supervisor Corley. "Voters can vote at their convenience in the privacy of their home with no lines and no waiting."

Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be forwarded but can be mailed to a temporary mailing address if outside of Pasco County. Requests of this type must be in writing and include the voter's signature.  All other written requests for vote-by-mail ballots must include the voter's date of birth, signature, and Pasco County residence address.  Voters are encouraged to confirm their mailing address when ordering a vote-by-mail ballot.  Requests are fulfilled immediately, with ballots being mailed daily.  The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed is Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Voted ballots must be physically in the elections' office by 7:00 p.m. election day, November 8, 2016, including ballots that have been mailed.  If returning the ballot by mail, it will require 47 postage, and due to postal service regulations voters should allow up to five business days for USPS delivery.  Ballots may also be dropped off in person at any of the three Supervisor of Elections' Offices in Pasco County.  Voted ballots may not be turned in at the polls on election day.    Voters can check the status of their vote-by-mail ballot online at pascovotes.com or by calling 800-851-8754.
