Voter Preparation Vital to Successful Elections

Pasco County, FL - Brian E. Corley, Supervisor of Elections Pasco County, wants to ensure voters are prepared for the General Election this Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at 111 precincts throughout Pasco County.  A complete list of polling locations is available online at  Voters are statutorily required to vote in the precinct in which they currently reside and to provide a photo and signature ID when voting.

"Reminding everyone what's required on Election Day ensures a smoother voting experience," said Supervisor Corley.  "Our goal is to provide the best service possible and a flawless, transparent election with timely and accurate results to the citizens of Pasco County".

In order for vote-by-mail ballots to be counted they must be physically in the elections office by 7:00 p.m. election day. Mail ballots cannot be accepted at the polling locations.  Voters who requested vote-by-mail ballots may have their ballot cancelled at the polling location and be re-issued a new ballot.  Per Florida Statutes, voting in the Supervisor of Elections' Offices on Election Day or picking up a ballot is permissible only in the case of an emergency, and will require a signed affidavit attesting to the emergency.

Florida Statutes (Section 101.031(2)) outlines instructions to voters and establishes a Voter's Bill of Rights and Voter Responsibilities.  Pursuant to statute, copies of these are posted in all polling locations on Election Day.  They can be viewed beforehand online at by selecting the voter registration tab on the homepage and the voter's guide option.
