Join Us in the "Two Good Soles" Shoes and Socks Drive
Pasco County FL - Brian E. Corley, Supervisor of Elections, Pasco County and his staff will join other county constitutional offices and Pasco County Schools in the second annual "Two Good Soles" donation campaign. Offices countywide will be collecting new shoes and socks for local children in an interoffice competition that ends Tuesday, November 14, 2017, with the final shoe and sock count from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Ridgewood High School Gym, 7650 Orchid Lake Rd., New Port Richey. The public is invited and parking is located at the back of the school campus.
"Those who don't have school-aged children may not even realize the need that is right at our back door," said Supervisor Corley. "Please help us insure that no child in Pasco County goes without the basic necessity of shoes to wear to school."
Last year 1,117 pairs of shoes and 1,583 packages of socks were donated to the Pasco County School District. The need for adult shoe sizes 5 and up, and children's sizes 9 and up, is primarily at the middle and high school level. Socks of all sizes are welcome, and the district is recommending that donated tennis shoes be of a "neutral" color.
Please drop off your donations by November 13, 2017, at any of the three Supervisor of Elections' Offices:
*East Pasco Government Center, Supervisor of Elections' Office, second floor Suite 200, 14236 6th St., Dade City *Central Pasco Professional Center, Supervisor of Elections' Office, first floor room 105, 4111 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes *West Pasco Government Center, Supervisor of Elections' Office, first floor Suite 110, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey
