Voter Preparation Vital to Successful Elections
Pasco County, FL - Brian E. Corley, Supervisor of Elections, Pasco County, wants to ensure voters are prepared for the upcoming election this Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at 112 precincts throughout Pasco County. A complete list of polling locations is available online at pascovotes.com. Voters are statutorily required to vote in the precinct in which they reside and to provide a photo and signature ID when voting.
"Reminding everyone what's required on Election Day ensures a smoother voting experience," said Supervisor Corley. "Prepared voters help us to reach our goal of providing the best service possible and a flawless, transparent election."
Studying the candidates in advance and utilizing your sample ballot will help expedite voting at the polls. There are four proposed constitutional amendments on the General Election ballot which should be read beforehand.
If you have not voted in the last few elections, you should check your voter registration status on-line, pascovotes.com or call 1-800-851-8754. Do not wait until Election Day to find out if you are registered and if your registration is in good standing. Voter registration address changes can be done by telephone or on-line, but failure to update your address prior to Election Day could result in delays at the polls.
Florida Statutes (Section 101.031(2)) delivers instructions to voters and establishes a Voter's Bill of Rights and Voter Responsibilities. Pursuant to statute, copies of these are posted in all polling locations on Election Day. They can be viewed beforehand online at pascovotes.com by selecting the voter registration tab on the homepage and the voter's guide option from the fly-out menu.

Supervisor of Elections
