Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Announces Voter Registration Books Close

Pasco County FL - Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley, announces the
voter registration books will close on Monday, August 1, 2016, for all new
registrants to the State of Florida and to anyone wishing to change their
party.  Voter registration applications mailed to the supervisor's office at
PO Box 300, Dade City FL 33526, should bear a postmark of August 1st or
earlier, or be brought directly to one of the three Supervisor of Elections'
Offices.

Party is an issue in primary elections because Florida is a closed primary
state.  Parties elect their own candidates in the primary to determine which
candidate will appear on the ballot in November.  Voters registered with no
party affiliation will vote in the primary, but only in the non-partisan
race for County Judge and an amendment to the state constitution. Sample
ballots are available on our website www.pascovotes.com.

Voters who believe their voter registration is in good standing are
encouraged to double check their status before Monday.  Voters can check
their registration at pascovotes.com or call 800-851-8754.

In order to be accessible to voters for last minute registrations and
updates, all Supervisor of Elections' Offices will be open Saturday, July
